Berkshire Hathaway Is Honored...

"Fellow Buffett Watchers,

Warren Buffett’s company, Berkshire Hathaway, was honored earlier this week when Barron’s annual survey named it the world’s most respected company for 2007. This year saw Berkshire experience steady growth again, and the company was able to vault up from last year’s No. 5 finish to claim the top spot.

As would be expected with such an award, much of the praise was directed at the CEO –Buffett, himself. One of the money managers on the Barron’s panel referred to Buffett as the, “clearest-thinking investor of our time”. It may also be noted that the previous two first-place finishers, Johnson & Johnson and General Electric, are both substantial holdings of Berkshire Hathaway."
